PEBT Process Overview
GOAL: To provide a wholistic overview of PEBT setup and configuration for Life Insurance.
[BOARD CONFIG] Benefit Provider Configuration
HR > BOARD CONTROL > BENEFITS > BENEFIT PROVIDER CONFIGURATION
Select Benefit Provider = PEBT.
**Configure Benefit Provider = PEBT, along with correct Interfect ID and B.A.G**
Note: Description, Interface ID and Benefit Administration Group (BAG) must be setup in this screen.
Interface ID and Benefit Administration Group (B.A.G) will be used in the HRIS file

- Transactions
- Trailer
IMPORTANT Note: The Interface ID and BAG values must comply with PEBT requirements.
Interface ID = SD##HRIS
Benefit Administration Group = ## (from SD##)
It is important to note that these values will be different for other BC school boards.
BOARD CONTROL > GENERAL TABLES > MISCELLANEOUS CODES MAINTENACE
Here Miscellaneous Codes are created for each PEBT specific parameter.
PEBT Employee Group: The drop-down list values must exist as active codes in the Miscellaneous Codes table, EC_CODE where CODE_TYPE = ‘BG’.
PEBT Employment Basis: The drop-down list values must exist as active codes in the Miscellaneous Codes table, EC_CODE where CODE_TYPE = ‘BB’.
PEBT Work Status: The drop-down list values must exist as active codes in the Miscellaneous Codes table, EC_CODE where CODE_TYPE = ‘BW’.
For each miscellaneous PEBT code type, the PEBT specific values have been created as per specifications.
Ensure you refer to your PEBT Workbook – HRIS document.

HR > STAFFING > STAFF MANAGEMENT > EID > BENEFITS Tab
**Ensure PEBT Plan = YES, and populate PEBT PLAN tab to ensure EID pulls in File**

**Ensure Benefit Plan = PEBT for accurate Salaries and Scheduled Hours are reported**
