HRP Web New Design Language
GOAL: To provide an overview of the main differences between HRP 5.0 and HRP Web 5.2 that end users will first notice when transitioning.
The change in the design language is purposeful and meant to reduce clutter and chances of mis-clicks when completing Data Entry.
PREVIOUS HRP DESKTOP DESIGN LANGUAGE
Previously, HRP 5.0 was designed using ‘Screen Elements’ that represented different levels of data.
Here we can see Screen Element 1 is the Employee ID and their basic relevant information, then Screen Element 2 is the list of specific records under the chosen EID.
Whereas Screen Element 3 was the additional details within each record.
HRP 5.2 WEB DESIGN LANGUAGE
TOP LEVEL ORGANIZATION:
As shown below, you will now see that HRP is broken down into 4 different top-level tabs which contain Module Folders and Sub-Modules under each.

MODULE DESIGN LANGUAGE
In HRP 5.2 Web you will see in the transition to web this design was changed through the product council where previously ‘busy’ screens now have layers to them – via View, Modify and Delete options.

Here you will note some of the DNA from HRP 5.0 Desktop, namely the ‘Screen Element’ aspect have been carried forward into HRP 5.2 Web.
As you can see below, users can configure Search Parameters in screen element 1 and see the results populated within the table in screen element 2.
**From here users can easily adjust, filter, sort and choose whether to Modify/Edit results**
From here a variety of changes can be made to edit the User Interface. This is demonstrated as shown in the below screenshot.
**Page Size increased to 25, Home Location + Activity + Certificate Code fields added to the Results Table**

**Outlined Add New/Export is greyed out, all options other than View are greyed out**
This is the view functionality.

**Note everything is now fully unlocked & Edit button no longer present as we chose Modify**
This is the new modify functionality.
This way the information is a little less overwhelming, and in certain modules where before there was massive tables of fully editable data, this is now selected on a per-record basis for Modify/View/Delete.
This was done purposefully to help reduce the chances of any mis-clicks or accidental changes that could easily have gone unnoticed during data entry and compounded the further downstream they would make it.

**Note nearly all fields are locked for editing, in view-only mode**
MODIFY WINDOW POP-UP
**Note all fields are now unlocked and able to be modified**
The ‘highlighted’ fields denote mandatory fields that must be populated for the SAVE button not to be greyed out.
As shown above, most of the data that used to live in Screen Element 3 (or beyond) in HRP 5.0 is now typically available in one of the pop-up windows.
DELETE WINDOW POP-UP
**Users can then choose whether or not to follow through with the Delete action**
DUPLICATE WINDOW POP-UP
**Duplicate functionality remains the same, displayed through popup modify window**
Fields are recycled and New Start Date is Previous End Date + 1, same as duplicate functioned previously.
