Summary

All Clever views in SIS filter on school status. Only schools with a status of “Still in Operation” are returned by these views. A school set to any other status — for example, “Opened as of” — will not appear in any Clever view, including vw_Clever_Schools_Updated, and will not sync to Clever.

Symptoms

• A school does not appear in Clever, even though it is configured correctly in SIS.

• The school is missing from Clever-related views/reports, including vw_Clever_Schools_Updated.

• Other schools with the same configuration sync as expected, but this one does not.

Cause

This is expected behavior, not a defect. The Clever views (including vw_Clever_Schools_Updated) are built to only return schools where the status equals “Still in Operation.” Any other status value excludes the school from the view's result set by design, regardless of whether the school is otherwise fully configured.

Resolution

If a school is set to “Opened as of,” update its status to “Still in Operation” in SIS. Once the status is updated, the school will be picked up by the Clever views and will begin syncing correctly.

Note: this applies to any status other than “Still in Operation,” not only “Opened as of.” If a school in any non-active status needs to sync to Clever, its status must be changed to “Still in Operation.”
