COWAN Member Not Loading Checklist

ISSUE: Member not loading to COWAN MPL File. Configuration Checklist needed to troubleshoot this issue. 

 

COWAN Configuration Checklist:

  1. Staffing > Position & Assignment > Employee ID
    1. Active Position
    2. FTE > 0
    3. Benefit Plan = COWAN
  2. Compensation > Salary and Allowance
    1. Active Salary Record
    2. Same Employee Group as COWAN Position
  3. Board Control > Benefit > Carrier Code Maintenance
    1. Ensure same Employee Group is configured for COWAN
    2. Ensure proper Client ID and Plan are configured
  4. Board Control > Employee Group Maintenance
    1. Ensure Employee Group is Active
  5. Benefit > Benefits > Benefit Eligibility Date
    1. Ensure proper date is configured
  6. OPC Management > Job Class
    1. Ensure “Exclude from Benefits = N”

 

Board Control > Benefits > Carrier Code Maintenance

Ensure appropriate Employee Group is configured under Benefit Provider = COWAN

Ensure Client ID and Plan are configured accordingly

 

Board Control > Employee Group Maintenance

Ensure the Employee Group is Active and configured accordingly

 

Staffing > Position & Assignment > Employee ID

Ensure FTE > 0, Benefit Plan = COWAN and Position = Current

 

Compensation > Salary and Allowances > Employee ID

Ensure Compensation record Employee Group is the same as Position

Ensure Active compensation record

 

Benefit > Benefits > Benefit Eligibility Date

select BENEFIT_ELIGIBILITY_DATE from EC_EMPLOYEE

where EMPLOYEE_ID = 'xxxx'

Configure under Benefit > Benefits > Benefit Eligibility Date = Hire Date

 

OPC Management > Job Class

select LTO_IND from EC_JOBS

where JOB_CODE = 'xxxxx'

**Exclude from Benefits = N or Null

Note: LTO_IND must be NULL or 0 (indicating Exclude from Benefits = N) for Job Code to be eligible for Benefits. 

If LTO_IND = 1, this indicated Exclude from Benefits = Y

  • This can then be updated in OPC Management > Job Class.
