Import Profile Maintenance Header and Trailer Configuration

GOAL: To provide an overview of the different use cases for Headers and Trailers in the context of using Import Profile Maintenance for Timesheets and Absences. 

 

Boards have the option of 3 different methods of Header and Trailer uses in configuring Import Profiles. 

  1. Specific Header + Trailer
    1. Use Record String to define specific text for reach
  2. Generic Header + Trailer
    1. Use Column Names as Headers
  3. No Header + Trailer
    1. Raw, ordered data only

 


SPECIFIC HEADER + TRAILER

BOARD CONTROL > GENERAL TABLES > IMPORT PROFILE MAINTENANCE

NOTE: It is important to remember that if Delimiter = TAB, then spaces in your Record Strings should be keyed as TAB (in between each word)
